...I'm thrilled that President Obama has picked Hillary Clinton to be his Secretary of State. I think that's awesome! She's worked hard, and while she may not be perfect, I think she's great for the job. We need strong leadership with a legacy of being involved, and we got that with Hillary Clinton.

I supported Hillary Clinton for president, and I make no apologies. I'm happy Barack Obama got the nomination, and then won the presidency, but she was my original choice. I hope she will be a fine Secretary of State.
I think it might even be cooler that Obama chose a woman for Homeland Security!
I supported her too, even donated to her Campaign fund and would do it again if she ran in 2010. I think she'll be a great Secretry of State, especially given the very active role she played in foreign policy when Bill was in the big house. There are reasons people joke she was the first female president of the United States.
I too think it would be cool, and I'm hoping he does. There are a number of women in the community with the background, connections, and experience. Honestly, I'd love to see Diane Schroer in as head of Homeland Security. Goodness knows she could to the job, and has experience, training and connections that would serve her (and the country) well. So, I'm with you girlfriend!
Obama has already appointed Arizona governor Janet Napolitano as secretary of homeland security. I don't know anything about her.
I don't know how anyone could hold that against you!
Obama seems to be picking those he thinks best qualified that pass "vetting". What more can you ask? Especially now?

I don't know much about her either, but I just looked her up and she has a pretty good background. I'm glad President Obama put a woman in the top spot at Homeland Security, that's awesome! Thanks Veronique for bringing that tidbit to my attention. Way cool!
How could anyone hold it against me, well I've had people give me grief for supporting her in the first place. So I don't know. All kinds of folks in the world you know.

I'm no one to judge (I liked John Edward), except I'm merciless about Sarah Palin.
I'm sure Clinton will do an excellent job.
Hello Ange and welcome. I kinda liked John Edward too, and goodness knows he was cute.
As to being merciless about Palin, fear not, I don't think your alone. I think we should give bears and moose big old anti-aircraft guns and teach them how to use them. That way next time Palin's in a chopper shooting down at them, they can bring the heat back into her kitchen.
I too think Hillary is a great choice for Secretary of State and will do a good job. Thanks for stopping in, and yeah, Alan is a great guy!
